Translation Please?
Lun 04 Feb 2013, 4:51 pm
Need help with translation....
On one of my maps of the Uinta Mountains in Utah it says next to an icon (small circle with cross on top of it) "EL Tesorillo"
What does El Tesorillo mean?
Also,
"Plato el oro
Abra Ud, la puerta, Dejen
Uds los Platos. Oigame
Dejen los Uds
Raya Ud.
No fomen Uds. Los Platos"
Any one up for a literal translation?
Thanks!
Tuscoro

Hello there tuscoro, how are you my friend,it is long time, not chatting with you,Well lets see, the word itself tesorillo means (little treasure),but it put this word in a figure sense meaning can be a small to medium treasure chest,.Also the translation for the words make little to no sense,it could be a hidden translation for that, the words i sense are really deep,i am stuck with the word (fomen) because i does not exist in spanish, also the first pharagraph is (planto el oro)wich means to plant the gold,,the word usd is very formal, reffer to more than one people and us is direct to one person, see if you can get a more detailed transcript and i be happy to help you with,Tuscoro you can send me a private message,if you wish,is been a pleasure seeyou back here Tuscoro...

Hola Tuscoro, long time no see!
Tesorillo Is a word related to treasure. Tesoro, Tesorillo but used in a derogatory or pejorative manner, in other words, belittling the word.
But when you are talking about treasures, that does not necessarily mean it's bad.
I think the Spanish used it, and still do, for any kind of treasure or place. could be an Hacienda, coins, archaeological site or place, etc.
When they talk about "el tesorillo de cadiz, el tesorillo de san martin, el tesorillo de algaida" they all talk about different kinds of treasures that have been found. I do believe they have an Hacienda in Cadiz by the name of "El Tesorillo" also. So that word means something good
About your other request, are those the exact words? something does not make sense. check them again and let me know.

Yes numis indeed, you take the words out of my mouth, the word tesorillo,is "no refering to an especific"treasure chest"or a treasure maybe i am wrong, for many farmers there in mexico a piece of land is a real treasure and they are proud to named a ranch or an hacienda something treasure related or something very personal or emotional..

hi, Tuscoro , it`s interesant the translation that you need.
one , this is my point of view, first the hill with a mark of a circle with a cross
means that this is a point with an spanish teasure , tesorillo means an small teasure but how make the mesurement , if you has a lot small can be much ,or not ,
another of the tips say gold dish , open you the door , let you and the others the dishes Listen to me , keep out the dishes you and the others
----------------don`t take any of you and the others the dishes
I think that the second part is the key to open the place where are hidden the gold maybe the tesure is a few gold dishes that are at a cave in the top of the hill , l hope you have a lot of luck friend , any way if you need some just put a MP to me and l answer ............keep in touch . Felix.

Hola Amigos!!..
Thank You for the many answers....
I am working on a map project and that is one of the many things the translator just couldn't grasp...
There is rumor here in the North pertaining to a "Master Map" of which only 4 exist... One was supposedly found on the Atoche sealed in a silver tube.
One day as I was going through the maps I have acquired, I noticed they seem to fit together, it became clear they did and likely were originally copied from this Master Map, and so, I have been recreating the Master Map based on these maps and I must say, it is going well. It is of the Uinta Mountains North of Duchesne Utah. The original Master Map is said to have over one hundred mine locations and "Other things" I have been able to reconstruct about 60 mine locations and several "Other things"
Hugo, is your cell number the same?
I have relocated but my numbers are the same...
Yes Hugo that is the exact text on the map....
Good to talk to you all again, and thank you for your input....
I am pretty sure there will be more....
Thank You for the many answers....

plato de oro yo creo se le llamaba antiguamente a la vaciada en el suelo de una colada en crisol de cualquier metal, es una plasta´´ disforme de oro a menos que en verdad sea un plato para comer, de oro aleado, cosa que no valdria la pena enumerarlo debido a que no tendria muy significativo valor en un gran tesoro
